I-Roast 2 Coffee Bean Roaster Overviews
Any roasting of coffee produces at least some smoke. The iRoast-2 comes with an attachment that will allow you to attach a 4" aluminum dryer hose to vent the smoke if you wish. You can also roast under your vent-a-hood without the attachment. It also includes a measuring cup, cleaning brush and instructions. The iRoast-2 uses hot air to roast the beans (fluid bed roaster). This differentiates this style of roaster from the convection type, often called a "drum" roaster. The hot air not only roasts the beans but agitates them to insure more even roasting. The air also carries away the "chaff" that forms when the silverskin flakes off the beans during the roasting process. The redesigned iRoast-2 has a very efficient chaff collector. This NEW iRoast-2 comes with two UPDATED factory preset roasting profiles that work very well if you don't want to use the custom programming feature. They were redesigned to ensure that our customers have roast a profile for beans that create little and more chaff. Preset 1 is for beans that have more chaff such as Central and South American. Preset 2 is for beans that have medium to light chaff such as Arabic, African, Indonesian and decaffeinated. Preset 1: 4 minutes and 30 seconds, Temp: 375 F 1 minute and 45 seconds, Temp: 420 F 1 minute and 0 seconds, Temp: 400 F 3 minutes and 30 seconds, Temp: 335 F 1 minute and 0 seconds, Temp: 385 F Preset 2: 4 minutes and 30 seconds, Temp: 385 F 2 minutes and 20 seconds, Temp: 425 F 1 minute and 0 seconds, Temp: 405 F 3 minutes and 30 seconds, Temp: 345 F 1 minute and 0 seconds, Temp 400 F
